Join to #OvercomeBullying

#UnDiaMés (#OneMoreDay) #SuperarelBullying (#OvercomeBullying) is a campaign encouraged by the PDA Bullying Platform aiming at connecting initiatives that raise awareness and promote good practices when dealing with bullying and cyberbullying.

Good practices or reference practices to address bullying and cyberbullying among peers must be made visible to society. This a paradigm shift by focusing, not so much on the problem itself, but on the tools that help overcome the problem. This change of perspective focuses on what generates health, instead of putting the spotlight on the risk factors or on what doesn’t work.

According to the study "Fortaleciendo la convivencia escolar” carried out in Catalonia, around 55-60% of the educational centers do have clear and defined strategies for Prevention, Detection and Action. Specifically, in relation to awareness, schools claim to conduct awareness-raising activities in 94% for bullying and 93% for cyberbullying.

We want to focus on this positive percentage, acknowledging what is being done, and evidencing the potential already present towards change. Awareness activities contribute to train sensitivity (feel to understand) to better recognize a reality from which we might have become disconnected, straying from our best version as human beings.

Photo: alliance between Vancarl Productions and PDA Bullying

For this reason, thanks to the alliance between Vancarl Productions with its short film Un Dia Més (@undiamescurt) directed by Carlos Puig, and PDA Bullying, in the framework of the support to audiovisual creation projects, the campaign #UnDiaMés (#OneMoreDay) #SuperarelBullying (#OvercomeBullying) was born.

#UnDiaMés shows us the problem.

This short film draws attention to the abuse set in the context of visual impairment – however, the focus is not on the particular characteristics of the person who has been put in the victim role: it is essential to shift the perspective and question the beliefs and behavior of the person positioned in the aggressor role. The non-action of the spectator role is also key.

 #SuperarelBullying (#OvercomeBullying) as a way of coping.

Beyond the concept of going #againstbullying, we believe in addressing the issue from a healthier approach, giving more space to a resilient and empowered version of ourselves that propels us to overcome the challenges.

The pedagogical support material

We foresee that, from May 2nd, 2024 (international day to overcome bullying), once the short film "Un dia més" has traveled during this next year to festivals around the world, we can have the piece openly available for all audiences.

We want to work so that when that moment arrives, there will be available some pedagogical support materials that can be used to work with the family or to share from the socio-educational projects.

We are looking for funding and support, alliances inside and outside the PDA Bullying Network to achieve this goal, so we invite you to join us from your illusion, within the framework of your own will, to achieve a world without violence, and from your corporate social responsibility to collaborate by providing value in the recognition of the work involved in this creation.

Management and collection of good practices

The PDA Bullying Platform is a non-profit network with an associative approach that is sustained by the individual and collective responsibility of those who participate. We adhere to the UNESCO's proposal that strongly calls for the visibility of all practices and roles of power in the preventive approach to bullying, so, from this force, we activate the collection of all good practices within our resource bank, within which you can specifically find a selection of campaigns from around the world.

The images provided through our forms are incorporated into the campaign #Undiamás #SuperarelBullying following the legal regulations in force, and protecting personal data with a deep search for responsibility. The managers of these data are the managing entities of the PDA Bullying Platform: SEER Team (Salut i Educació Emocional), Fundación Aprender a Mirar (FAAM) and Associació de Consumidors de Mitjans Audiovisuals de Catalunya (TAC).
