On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which every December 10th brings the human rights perspective to the forefront of society, we are pleased to announce that the PDA Bullying Platform is launching a space for inquiry on bullying and human rights in collaboration with Ethikos & Compliance (affiliated entity).
Every December 10th, we celebrate International Human Rights Day, which this year marks its 75th anniversary since the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Today gives us the authority to defend and protect both our own rights and those of other citizens.
According to UNESCO, the organization dedicated to promoting all rights through various means, these rights must continue to be protected, as they are privileges that we should all have access to. Human rights are fundamental rights that all people are entitled to simply by being human. We must all respect these rights to live with dignity in society, as everyone has the right to freedom of expression and opinion, to life, to education, and to political participation, among many others.
One of the most significant achievements of the United Nations is the creation of comprehensive regulations addressing human rights. This is a "protected code at the universal and international level to which all people can adhere and to which everyone aspires." This universality means that organizations and individuals have the obligation to promote and protect this wide range of rights, universally accepted around the world.
Many actions that violate these universal rights are immoral acts carried out by third parties. In this sense, we can view bullying as an inhibitor of human rights, with a widespread presence in society. The person who assumes the role of the aggressor inhibits the rights of the individual positioned as the victim through the act of violence against them.
The Xarxa dels Drets de la Infància is an action network of organizations in the city of Barcelona that work on children's issues, with the general goal of promoting and defending the development of universal children's rights in the city. This is done within the framework of the Citizen Agreement for an Inclusive Barcelona. PDA Bullying participates both directly and through Equipo SEER (managing entity).

Through this network, various actions and projects have been launched, such as the coMviure Program. This program has been supported by the City of Barcelona since the 2020-2021 school year, with each new year targeting a different educational center. The program focuses on the preventive approach to bullying, using short films created with the Service-Learning (APS) methodology. It also proposes the development of personal tools through emotional education and awareness-raising activities using audiovisual creation tools.
The PDA Bullying Platform joins the efforts for Prevention, Detection, and Action to #SuperarelBullying as a way of supporting the visibility and protection of human rights violated by peer violence. #PDABullying #HumanRights75

We must also highlight the selection of the short film "Un dia més" by Carlos Puig, which led to the #OneMoreDay #OvercomeBullying campaign during the 20th Edition of the Barcelona International Human Rights Film Festival (FCDHBCN).
